A British man wanted by police in the UK has been arrested with pornography and drugs in Bali.
Fugitive Terence David Murrell fled Britain to avoid a prison sentence for selling steroids, said Indonesian officials citing a British media report.
Authorities believe the man they have detained is 31-year-old Murrell, who they said overstayed his Indonesian tourist visa by more than 150 days.
The model and bodybuilder has been accused of selling explicit videos of himself online to fund his extravagant lifestyle.
After Murrell was paraded at a news conference by Indonesian authorities, immigration official Amran Aris described the pornography on the suspect’s mobile phone as “deviant”.
Indonesia has strict laws against narcotics and the production and distribution of pornography.
Mr Aris said the alleged fugitive had tested positive for drugs and was also in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers said they were not sure whether the pornographic videos had been made in Bali or in another country such as Thailand.
“We are still investigating the porn content, including digital forensic examinations to prove pornography law violation,” said Denpasar chief police detective Wayan Artha Ariawan.
“At this moment, he could face immigration violation and illegal drugs use [charges].”
North Wales Police confirmed to Sky News that Murrell was still wanted by the force.
Detective Superintendent Steven Williams said: “We are aware of the arrest of Terence David Murrell in Bali.
“He remains outstanding for the offences he was convicted of last October, and we will await the outcome of the proceedings in Bali.
“Ultimately, he will have to face justice in this country for these offences.”
